The Scenic Rim's Great Wildlife Discovery Challenge
Have fun while challenging your wits and learning about the wonderful wildlife of the Scenic Rim.
Puzzles and quizzes will take you to all corners of the Scenic Rim over the next few months - either literally or by googling and other information-seeking, and will involve the birds, mammals, reptiles, frogs, fish and invertebrates that we share our region with.
Entry is free, and there are some wonderful prizes to be won: accommodation for two for two nights at O'Reilly's Guest House, family day-pass to Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, Family day-pass to Currumbin
Wildlife Sanctuary, meal voucher at the Bearded Dragon Hotel, widllife day-tours with Araucaria Ecotoutrs, and nature books from Andrew Isles bookshop. Many thanks to all these sponsors.

Scenic Rim Wildlife Amateur Photographic Competition Digital
Enter in the Photografic Competition. Entries close 10th July 2010. Winning photos will be displayed at the Scenic Rim Wildlife Expo at Beaudesert on July 18th at the Beaudesert Community Arts and Info Centre. More details here have any books, DVDs, toys, plants or other items to donate to this and future stalls, please let us know. The Derby runs from 10.00am to 2.00pm.

The Logan Eco Action Festival (L.E.A.F.), will be held on Saturday 5th June 2010 at Griffith University's Logan Campus.
The festival will feature workshops, presentations, organic farmers markets, live music, environmental exhibitors, and children's activities reinforcing the message of environmental conservation.

Wildlife Expo
Quolls, gliders, pythons, frogmouths and more await you at Beaudesert's 2nd WIldlife Expo, on Sunday 18th July.
You will also meet wildlife artists displaying work-in-progress, wildlife carers to tell you about the animals they care for, lecturers and students to inform you of tertiary courses involving wildlife, experienced naturalists to discuss the birds, bats, frogs and other wildlife of our region, and find tourism information on where to travel and stay to see more of our wildlife, information on how to conduct businesses and household activities in wildlife-friendly ways, children's activities and much more.
