St Helena Island
St Helena is an island in Moreton Bay of the Queensland coast.
It has an interesting history having housed lepers, alcoholics and was a prison farm settlement for many years.
During the prison period the island was not only entirely self sufficient,
it had it's own bakery, taylor shop and was able to export sugar, vegetable products, quarried limestone blocks, lime, etc.
